Kevin completed well logging by AMSTRATA of Canada/America in 1986; which is used in the detection of petroleum by microscopes observation; now takes advantage of the Hydrocarbon detector utilized 24/7 monitoring simultaneously

Past
1986—graduated from Fort Hays State University and attended school while working full time in the petroleum industry’s “oil patch”
1986 to 1987—utilized deep drilling skills at the Kansas Geological Survey (KGS) drilling cores in the Riley County Kimberlites and the 1930’s salt water storage pits in Reno County.  Kevin was an active member of the KGS team that installed the first monitoring well networks for KDHE groundwater research studies in 1986-87 with Thomas McClain KGS Hydrologist 
1988 to 1994—worked as a field geologist and environmental specialist involved in many levels of project responsibility in private industry investigations, remediation, and high-priority government projects such as: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Ammunitions depot in Nebraska (Hastings & Mead) and Region 7- Mid-west sites
1994—responsible for Deffenbaugh Industries' Quality Control contract for capping of the Doepke-Holliday Super Fund site.  At Deffenbaugh for over eleven years, Kevin was responsible for:
QA/QC during solid waste containment construction for impermeable clays and geo-textile installation  
Daily oversight for landfill compliance and deep well management of leachate compliance levels in containment and storage
Provided future planning for the expansion areas and the demolition compliance management for the former flooded town of Holliday, KS
2004 to 2005— compliance manager for Shawnee Rock and developed sampling compliance for crushing washer-holding ponds for National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and permitting.  Kevin developed public relations explaining the important needs and demands for aggregates as well the importance of quality and available air space for the solid waste in Kansas and utilizing the quarries footprint.  Kevin was also involved in the development and piping of treated landfill gas as a marketable energy source and has been involved with other areas of “Green Gas” production.
